About LGBTI

We can help BME women experiencing domestic abuse who identify as lesbian, bisexual, transgender, or intersex.

We also support any BME LGBTI young person under 18.

For people who identify as LGBTI, your sexual orientation, gender identity, or intersex status may be part of the domestic abuse. For example, a partner or ex-partner may threaten to ‘out’ you to family and community. A family member may force you to marry or commit ‘honour-based’ abuse to ‘control’, ‘punish,’ or ‘cure’ you.
